On January 17th, 2011 at 701 pm after only 5 total hours of labor and a quick medication free delivery, my baby girl Alli Lynn Green was born 6 lbs 13 oz 21.5 inches long. She had difficulty breathing and was taken to the NICU within an hour of her burth. I was able to hold her immediately after birth, and for about twenty minutes before she left my side. When I went to see her in the NICU a few hours after her birth I was too weak from the delivery and passed out next to my baby girl. Fortunately Brian caught me before I fell to the ground. Alli spent a week in the NICU. It was very difficult for me , but I went up there to see her every single day. I stayed from seven or eight am, until the nurses kicked me out at 6 pm. I pumped milk every four hours for the first 4 days, then was thrilled when I was finally able to nurse her on friday. I continued to p[ump milk in the evenings when I was away from her. On monday morning, my Alli was finally released from the hospital and we brought her home!
